Works with executives and managers at all levels to assess organizational talent and relationships; builds and maintains personnel development, leadership development and organizational engagement. Develops and implements training, education and other interventions to maximize individual, team and organization effectiveness.


Key Result Areas

  • Employee / Leadership Development - Increases the performance capabilities of all Hillman employees through assessment, training, and development programs with special emphasis on Hillman Management personnel.
  • Develops variety of training curriculum in traditional delivery format, as well as self-paced, e-learning & instructor-led formats. Designs & creates programs & courses. Creates related course material.


    • Delivers or facilitates training sessions focused on Management & Leadership Development
    • Evaluates external training resources and recommends appropriate vendors.
    • Evaluates training effectiveness and continually seeks opportunities to maximize learning.
    • Maintains employee training records though the management of a Learning Management System.
    • Builds and maintains Learning & Development Portal site, and takes steps needed to increase employee usage of the portal and this site specifically.
    • Conducts surveys, focus groups, team environment assessments as needed.
  • Organization Development – Increases the overall performance culture of the Hillman organization in its entirety, or by organizational unit, through assessment, process improvement and specific interventions.
  • Works with managers to assess department performance objectives and learning and development requirements.


    • Collaborates with Human Resources Leader and executive management to facilitate execution of the Hillman Group Performance Management Process.
    • Works with departmental and cross departmental teams to ensure full collaboration within workplace.
    • Administers and provides coaching to all management levels through the 360 Experience.


  • Team Leadership & Development – Leads assigned team to attain specified performance objectives and develop to be able to attain future objectives.
    • Provides coaching, feedback and direction setting to training coordinators



Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business, or equivalent experience



      • Seven years’ experience developing and delivering training programs.
      • Minimum three years’ experience in applying Organization Development practices.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of learning theories and technologies.
      • Proven ability to develop effective training curriculums, generate courses and produce related materials.
      • Working knowledge of e-learning options as well as LMS capabilities.
      • Working knowledge of various personal / organizational development tools and sources.
      • Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Windows Operating System.
      • Excellent organization and planning skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
      • Excellent writing skills. Strong creative ability and design skills.
      • DDI Certification preferred
