Overview

Supports the Strategic and Tactical Business Plan through effective demand planning of designated customer market channels and segment category to support KPI achievement. Performs analysis and performance management in the areas of demand forecast to sales forecast alignment, sales & POS trends, customer and company service metrics, and inventory position. Acts as project lead for customer initiatives. Provides ongoing performance updates to leadership and planning teams. Follows best practice in day to day execution.

Responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

  1. Demand Planning
  • Builds a supportive business relationship with Sales Leaders, Customers and key internal departments.
  • Executes day to day responsibilities to support formal S&OP Process achieving demand & supply alignment and demand forecast to sales forecast alignment as primary goal.
  • Monitors and evaluates customer POS trends for sales and demand forecast management.
  • Oversees and drives category demand forecast to sales forecast alignment.
  • Manages daily forecasting work rule execution and monitors sales trends on new or seasonal programs.
  • Responsible for financial analysis of the demand forecast and entry of approved forecast and related financial tracking documents to support Annual Operating Plan development.
  • Drives demand and supply planning activities to meet customer and company service metrics.
  • Effectively communicates with customers and sales leaders in operational areas of planning purchasing, replenishment, quality, logistics and warehousing to support Hillman day to day operations or initiatives.
  • Follows best practice in day to day execution.
  • Possesses intermediate to advanced skill sets with Excel, ERP, APS and BI reporting tools.
  • Executes data integrity checks for new customer launches.

 

  1. Project Management
  • Acts as project manager when necessary to support on time and at fill rate new program roll outs or segment category initiatives.
  • Leads project and performance meeting reviews.
  • Provides effective communication format for target audience.
  • Works with project teams to outline cost, quality, and delivery specifications for new products.
  • Works with planning leadership to establish short and long term team objectives that align with the strategic business plan.
  • Collaborates with S&OP Process Coordinator, Network Analyst, & Planning Business Analyst to manage overall category performance.

 

 

 

  1. Achievement of KPIs
  • Provides analysis of advanced warning and status reporting to drive proactive communication on category performance.
  • Analyzes and monitors ongoing team performance through dashboard reporting and proactively communicates performance and initiative updates.

  • Works in tactical teams to meet the operational objectives of the company.

 

Other essential functions:

  • Limited travel domestically as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (emphasis on business analysis or supply chain management preferred) MBA or other Master’s degree a plus.

 

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years related experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP system processes for planning, production, inventory control and purchasing systems.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills a must.
  • Experience and preference to work in a team environment.
