  • Overview

    Analyzes retail sales data and channel activity to identify market trends and opportunities. Interprets data to offer recommendations for the development of channel marketing strategies. Leads large projects that drive incremental revenue and margin growth. Develops new product and promotional tools to develop customer categories. Creates analyses to manage existing business and identify margin improvements. Develops sales forecasting reports.



    Key Result Areas (KRAs):


    • Channel Support
    • Participates in the development and delivery of marketing materials, new product launches, customer presentations, line reviews and new program opportunities. Focus on creating promotional opportunities for sales organization.


      Marketing Liaison/Support
    • Communicates regularly with the Marketing staff to provide information, answer questions, and assist with issues within the retail channel. Project management for customer tasks is routine for this position.


      Market Plan Development/Management
    • Develops, implements, and monitors marketing plans and promotions to ensure the achievement of objectives.


      Market Research
    • Coordinates ongoing market and competitive research to identify consumer needs as well as understand the changes in the industry to improve the company’s position in the market place.

    Business Acumen:

    • Recommends solutions that result in positive margin and revenue impact. Has a solid understanding of profit and loss statements and key sales metrics to drive profit growth.

    Personal Project Management


    • Builds personal action plans to meet the timeline requirements of internal and external partners.



    • Problem Solving - Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; evaluates and generates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.

    Bachelor’s degree in marketing or the equivalent in education and experience.



    • Five years related experience in retail distribution channels
    • Knowledge of the hardware industry is strongly recommended
    • Proficient in Microsoft office software systems. Heavy use of excel is used on a daily basis.
    • Analytical background preferred for managing pricing and project management tools
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal, creative writing, presentation and communications skills
