Provides leadership and direction to Field Service Representatives in designated Zone. Supervises direct reports to ensure the Zone achieves sales goals, service objectives, budget commitments, account profitability, and administrative commitments.  Services limited number of accounts within Zone.  Serves as the main point of contact for large accounts by maintaining excellent customer relations at the store level.


FSR Hiring/Training/Development


  • Participates in interviewing and new hire selection process
  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of Training are completed in timely manner
  • Works with FSRs on rotational basis to evaluate performance
  • Communicates with FSRs to provide information
  • Identifies potential candidates for advancement opportunities
  • Adheres to and follows Human Resource Procedures

Achieves Service Objectives


  • Meets call cycle commitments
  • Plans and implements new procedures/projects within Zone
  • Ensures that all merchandising strategies are followed
  • Ensures that Product Knowledge and Safety presentations are conducted as needed
  • Maintains similar objectives within their own territory

Achieves Budget Goals


  • Ensures that expense controls are followed
  • Continually seeks cost-saving opportunities
  • Adjusts resources to accomplish objectives in most efficient manner
  • Assists District Manager in developing operating budget for Zone

Communicates Business Trends/Issues


  • Promptly responds to customer issues
  • Monitors competitors products, customer needs/trends
  • Regular communication with Supervisor and Account Managers



High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.



  • Two years related experience working with hardware and home center accounts.
  • Extensive knowledge of Hillman products.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong motivational skills.
  • Maintains a valid driver license and vehicle insurance and is able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time including some overnight stays.
  • Able to lead and motivate a large group of off-site staff by guiding, training, and offering counsel.
