Overview

Sources, recruits, screens, and interviews candidates to fill warehouse roles. Consults with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and profiles of ideal candidates. Sources a pool of qualified candidates. Reviews and assesses applicant’s education, experience, training, and other qualifications. Schedules interviews and coordinates interviewers or panels. Informs candidates of job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation and benefits packages, and career advancement opportunities. Verifies employment eligibility and gathers necessary onboarding paperwork. Prepares and extends job offers. Notifies applicants of rejection.

Responsibilities

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Sourcing

 

  • Creates a pool of candidates to continually pull staffing options from.
  • Maintains applicant logs and tracks applicant process in system.
  • Researches and recommends new recruiting tools, job boards and community partnerships to ensure utilization of current and effective sourcing strategies.
  • Optimizes utilization of all available recruiting tools, including Internet-based job boards, ATS resume databases, job fairs and individual/professional networking opportunities.
  • Leads marketing initiatives to advertise and socialize job openings, including posting to job boards, sharing with social networks, and engaging employees to identify referrals. 
  1. Process Administration
  • Works with line managers to develop or update position descriptions for approved job openings.
  • Ensures all new hires have completed their Onboarding forms, the Hillman Application and i9 forms.
  • Sets up new hires in our HR information system.
  • Maintains integrity and confidentiality of department and employee personnel information. 
  • Staffing

 

  • Coordinates and posts approved job openings with appropriate sources.
  • Reviews applications/resumes and screens candidates.
  • Use excellent judgment to evaluate candidate’s skills and capabilities.
  • Refers qualified candidates to hiring management.
  • Effectively communicates with candidates through pre-screen interviews and scheduling in-person interviews.
  • Develops and initiates approved offers to selected candidates.
  • Conducts appropriate reference checks and arranges background screening.
  • Onboarding

 

  • Develops and orchestrates orientation plan for new hires.
  • Leads new hire orientations and completes new hire paperwork in partnership with local HR resources.
  • Conducts post hire follow-up at defined intervals to ensure new hires are effectively integrated.
  • Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies or offerings.

Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree or the equivalent in education and experience. Bachelor degree preferred.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Experience working directly with Hiring Managers and managing full life cycle recruitment processes to include: sourcing, screening, behavioral based interviewing and offer negotiations
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Experience and results in identifying and attracting candidates in competitive environment
  • Intermediate skills relating to Word, Excel, and Windows applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and vendors and deal tactfully with the public.
  • Strong presentation skills – able to conduct meetings and training sessions in front of a group.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail; Able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong writing skills – able to generate clear, accurate correspondence.
  • Able to address and resolve issues and conflict with diplomacy.
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish and PHR Certification a plus.
  • Limited travel to training and manager meetings.
