Provides leadership and direction for order picking, waving, and quality operation. Ensures that orders are packed and shipped according to customer requirements.


Key Result Areas:

  1. Monitors department workflow and adjusts resources as needed to accomplish objectives.
  2. Communicates regularly with Distribution staff to provide information, answer questions, and assist with issues.
  3. Briefs employees on order volume, quality, cost, and delivery date to ensure optimum productivity.
  4. Monitors box induction to ensure the group maintains an even flow of work to the pick modules.
  5. Collects, maintains, and communicates quality audit statistics.
  6. Works with Customer Service staff to expedite priority orders.
  7. Coordinates the training of new Order Processing employees to ensure that everyone receives the appropriate information and resources to effectively perform their duties.
  8. Ensures the economical utilization of resources and elimination of wasteful practices.
  9. Provides and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  10. Participates constructively in problem solving and process improvement activities.
  11. Maintains a thorough knowledge of processes and equipment in assigned area.
  12. Manages department within approved budget and continually seeks cost-saving opportunities.



Minimum of one year of college completed toward Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management



  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of basic manufacturing engineering concepts and/or willingness to conduct independent research/learning on lean manufacturing or other subject matter topics as required for the projects
