    Summary:

    Highly visible role with significant ability to impact operations leading Hillman’s hub and spoke distribution strategy. Responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and executing our network strategy for our US/Mexico distribution locations. This includes evaluating customer/sku shipment locations, expansion strategy, and DC design/technology changes.

    Responsibilities

    Key Result Areas (KRAs):

    1. Develop a proactive long term network plan taking into consideration lease schedules, project growth, and existing capacity constraints. Strategy to include recommendations for existing site expansion, DC moves, and new location to support business needs
    2. Partner with logistics and operations teams to analyze customer shipments and make recommendations for optimization taking into consideration transit time, cost to serve, sku locations, and working capital considerations.
    3. Support acquisition activities for distribution including due diligence, synergy analysis, and post-acquisition integration.
    4. Leverage negotiation skills, market analytics, and network plan to execute new leases or renewals for our distribution facilities
    5. Understand changes in technology and lead initiatives that leverage them to drive efficiencies in our distribution network
    6. Evaluate and implement opportunities to leverage 3PL and flex capacity where applicable

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations, or engineering

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Ten years+ experience working in a distribution environment
    • Experience in strategic planning on a 3-5 yr horizon
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical capability and experience building complex models in Excel
