  • Overview

    Manages the activities of the Receiving-Order Fulfillment Departments. Accountable to deliver required results in accordance with established standards and within budgetary constraints.

    1. Workflow Direction


    • Supervises the activities department employees to meet productivity standards and
    • achieve daily operating goals
    • Observes operations and responds promptly to issues and conditions that could
    • adversely impact results
    • Advises Area Manager on all work related issues and recommend appropriate actions
    • to address problems

    2. Staff Development


    • Provides orientation, and training to assigned employees on department processes
    • and systems
    • Provides feedback and coaches employees regarding performance and other work
    • related issues
    • Identifies developmental and training needs and works with Area Manager to address
    • Trains employees to perform tasks safely
    • Serves as a resource to team members to answer questions and resolve operating
    • Issues
    • Enforces workplace rules and delivers corrective action as necessary to Area
    • Manager
    • Documents employee performance to support the performance management process

    3. Operational Support and Control

    • Sets up and adjusts equipment as necessary
    • Secures assistance from maintenance and other support teams as required
    • Handles daily timekeeping for department employees

    4. Safety and Quality of Results


    • Inspects results and responds accordingly to ensure compliance with established
    • standards
    • Ensures that safety is incorporated into all departmental activities
    • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment in accordance with facility
    • standards
    • Recommends process / LEAN related improvements



    Associate degree preferred or the equivalent in education and experience.



    • Experience in a high volume automated multi-shift distribution center. Experience in a facility that uses conveyers, RF scanning, and pick-to-ship container methods preferred.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control and traffic management.
    • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows. Able to learn and use in-house software applications.
    • Excellent organization, planning, and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Able to lead and motivate employees by guiding, training, and offering counsel.
