    Develops and implements strategies to increase sales and profits in Wholesale channel. Identifies and secures new categories while providing ongoing leadership and support to existing Wholesale customers, near the Chicago area.

    Responsibilities

    Account Management

    • Directly manages existing domestic Wholesale corporate relationships as well as prospecting new categories
    • Manages sales and gross profit expectations with assigned categories.
    • Identifies issues and provides resolution for corporate personnel including, but not limited to, Merchandise Buyers, Merchandise Assistants, Replenishment, Category Management, along with Store Environment.
    • Identifies new business opportunities with product expansions into existing categories and also potential categories.
    • Performs line reviews and annual category improvements to grow respective customer programs
    • Prepares & delivers new business presentations along with regular quarterly business reviews (QBR)

    Product Expertise

    • Partners with Marketing to grow and expand product lines for Wholesale customers
    • Partners with Marketing to design and create plan-o-grams and programs
    • Partners with Marketing to develop promotional opportunities that drive growth
    • Develops and creates new product offerings for potential line extensions
    • Recognized by Wholesale channel customers as the category expert

    Support

    • Provides necessary support to the Hillman organization to complete designated business tasks.
    • Assist the Field Sales Team with the development and maintenance of account requirements and needs.
    • Ensures a smooth implementation of agreed upon programs, meeting customer expectations
    • Works closely with Wholesale internal core teams to drive total business.
    • Works with his/her Director to develop annual sales strategies and budgets
    • Maintains a deep knowledge of the company’s products, services, and overall value proposition.
    • Attends and leads spring and fall retailer trade shows

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • 3 years of experience in corporate Account Management
    • Experience selling and supporting corporate accounts with Wholesale, Co-Op, or “Big Box” experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of hardware and home improvement industry
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
    • Strong presentation and sales negotiation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
    • Able to travel overnight frequently, to include air travel. Maintains a valid driver license.

     

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree required.
