  • Overview

    Develops and implements strategies to increase sales and profitability at Home Depot. Identifies and secures new categories and product expansions while providing ongoing leadership and support to the existing business.




    Account Leadership

    • Provides full leadership to various cross-functional teams in order to create alignment and drive customer success for assigned categories.
    • Responsible for achieving assigned sales and margin goals.
    • Manages sales budget, and works to forecast monthly revenue, margin, and control expenditures in accordance with organizational financial goals.

    Account Management

    • Directly manages existing domestic corporate relationships as well as prospecting new categories and product line expansions.
    • Manages sales and gross profit expectations within assigned categories.
    • Identifies issues and provides resolution for corporate personnel including, but not limited to, Merchandise Buyers, Merchandise Assistants, Replenishment, Category Management, along with Store Environment.
    • Identifies new business opportunities with product expansions into existing categories.
    • Responsible for ongoing Voice of Customer (VOC) to ensure our corporate goals are aligned and clear.
    • Leads product line reviews (PLR) and annual category improvements to grow Home Depot’s programs.
    • Prepares & delivers new business presentations along with regular quarterly business reviews (QBR)

    Product Expertise

    • Partners with Marketing to grow and expand product lines
    • Partners with Marketing to design and create plan-o-grams and programs
    • Partners with Marketing to develop promotional opportunities that drive growth
    • Develops and creates new product offerings for potential line extensions
    • Recognized by Home Depot as the category expert


    • Provides necessary support to the Hillman organization to complete designated business tasks.
    • Assist the Field Sales Team with the development and maintenance of account requirements and needs.
    • Ensures smooth implementation of agreed upon programs, meeting customer expectations
    • Works closely with internal core teams to drive total business.
    • Works with his/her Director and Vice President to develop annual sales strategies and budgets.
    • Maintains a deep knowledge of the company’s products, services, and overall value proposition.
    • Attends and leads customer functions


    Bachelors Degree 

    7-10 years of Account Management experience

    Preferred direct experience with Home Depot account management
